  We have been a member of New Testament Baptist Church almost since the time we moved to Tucson from Chicago 8 years ago. We tried a couple of other churches, but we knew that this was the church for us when we visited. The only reason it was not the first church we tried was because it was somewhat far from where we lived. The travel is worth it. It is hard to find a church that teaches straight out of the KJV bible. Too many churches conform to modern times and tell the people only what they want to hear, but not necessarily what they need to hear...the truth. There are wonderful people at this church, including the preacher who founded the church over fifty years ago. He is in his eighties, but still preaches at the church. I have great respect for him and he is one of the best pastors I have ever known. Our son has been going to this church since he was born and at only 6 he already loves the Lord. I love to see him grow in his Christianity. It has a great youth program, including AWANA. It has a nursery and junior church for the youngsters. It has a bus ministry. It has an addictions program. We also support missionaries all over the world. It is truly a wonderful church. I would recommend this church to anyone.

  When my wife and I moved to Tucson from California we were looking for a good church to call home. We never thought we'd find another church that we'd love as much as our old one. We were looking for a church that was missionary minded, preached God's word, calls the lost to be saved, and loves children and families. Someone from our homeschool group invited us to NTBC here in Tucson. And the funny thing was we'd never even been to a baptist church before this one either. ha-ha. But once we heard the pastor preach, saw/heard what's being taught in the children's ministry (awana's), God clearly called us here and this has been our church home for 10 years this November. I'm so thankful to the Lord for leading us to this church. I'm a big believer that it's not the man who reads the bible from the pulpit that's the authority...it's the bible that's the authority. Pastor Joiner is just a man, he is not perfect (only Jesus was perfect)...but in the 10 years i've got to know him...he walks the walks and talks the talk. I admire him greatly and have gleaned great insights into God's word from his preaching! I recommend NTBC to anyone who wants to hear Truth being preached from the pulpit. Not a man's opinion but God's Holy word.

  My wife and I are followers of Jesus. We looked at several churches in Tucson. It is a great deal of work to find a good church. After much searching, we decided to fellowship at New Testament Baptist Church.

  Love this church.After trying some others first that were closer,we went one Sunday a.m. and have been there ever since..Joined in January.Good old K.J.B.preaching.

  This is my dad's church,Merrill Watkins, I agree with much of the Baptist theology but there can be some legalism in this denomination which I don't like but all in all,New Testament Baptist Church is good.
